Obama's Fact Check on Buffet Rule

President Obama recently stated that Millionaires shouldn't pay less in taxes than their secretaries and they don't.  The average Federal Tax rate for a millionaire is 29.1%, the average federal tax rate for someone making 50-75K is 15.1%.
In all the top 10% of Americans pay the majority of federal taxes and 70% of federal income taxes.

HPV Vaccine Controversy

The Daily Show Lampoons Michelle Bachman for slamming Rick Perry over the HPV vaccine. Even Rush Limbaugh has slammed Bachman for her claim that HPV vaccine could cause mental retardation.

President Obama scheduled a speech to talk about jobs. Republicans asked him to move it because there is a Republican debate on that same day. The president made a reasonable accommodation and everyone should be happy our politicians acted like adults. Somehow the 24 hour news media managed to try and turn it into "schedule gate" or "speech gate". Reporters spent more time on the scheduling non-issue than on the substance of president Obama's jobs plan.
