CNN continues to Smear Ron Paul

Whether it is that they fundamentally do not understand his positions or are simply pushing an agenda because they disagree with him: CNN continues to smear Ron Paul. An open letter to social conservatives

An open letter to social conservatives: many of you want big government to tell people what to do, you just want that nanny state to agree with you. Many of us other conservatives want the government to leave everyone alone so that we may all act as we please so long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others.

Are we all Online Criminals

With new laws prevented at thwarting hackers, have they turned us all into online criminals. Any violation of a user agreement (the 7,000 word things that no one reads and you just click "I agree" to) is now a crime, which technically makes underage google-ing a crime.

A lawsuit requiring every taxi to be wheelchair accessible

There is a new lawsuit being filed that aims to make every taxi cab in New york city wheelchair accessible. If you believe the advocates of the lawsuit the increase cost will amount to $2,000 per cab ride used by someone in a wheelchair, if you go by New York City's estimate (based on a pilot program) the number is closer to $63,000 per ride. Is this reasonable?

Tales of Manufactured Conflict

From Jon Stewart Tales of Manufactured Consent.
President Obama scheduled a speech to talk about jobs. Republicans asked him to move it because there is a Republican debate on that same day. The president made a reasonable accommodation and everyone should be happy our politicians acted like adults. Somehow the 24 hour news media managed to try and turn it into "schedule gate" or "speech gate". Reporters spent more time on the scheduling non-issue than on the substance of president Obama's jobs plan.

The Campus Rape Myth

Debunking the myth that there is an epidemic of rape on college campuses.  People often cite the number 1 in 4 women will be the victims of rape or attempted rape during college. This would mean that the rate of violent crimes is 10 times higher on college campuses than they are in Detroit. Does that even make sense? This article explains how the number 1 in 4 is obtained and why it is dishonest. Of those 1 in 4, 42% reported having sex with their "attacker" again.

CNN is terrible

A gem of a misleading article by CNN where they state that Jon Huntsman won't rule out impeachment. Which is an odd question to ask someone who is not a member of congress and therefore isn't a relevant question to him. But he said that he thinks "congress should do what congress does"... wow what an inflammatory statement.
