More Obama Administration Abuses

Golden Eagles are often killed by wind turbines but the Obama administration doesn't go after those companies, but has chosen to selectively enforce the laws and only prosecute oil and gas companies. The video is a short one by stephen colbert.

Steve Doocy on the News of the World Scandal

Steve Doocy sits down with a PR guy who may or may not work for Rupert Murdoch and wonders why there is such a media scandal over News Corp and hacking when there wasn't the same scandal when Citi got hacked. Stephen Colbert points out that both Citi and News Corp got caught in the same sentence with the word hacked.

How News of the World scandal is being covered

Media Matters reports that Fox News is giving much less coverage to the scandal that is rocking its parent company than are MSNBC or CNN. CNN found a clip where FOX contributors discussed how they are avoiding mentioning the story. Stephen Colbert weighed in on the story and the clip of Fox News contributors stating that they weren't going to "touch it" in reference to the scandal. Which left Colbert to conclude that Fox News slogan is "we don't touch it, you decide".

Stephen Colbert's Political action committee

Stephen Colbert has formed a political action committee, a superPAC actually. He has set up a website and is taking donations. The Christian Science Monitor explains what a superPAC is: a political action committee that can receive unlimited funds from corporations or private citizens. Colbert has been promoting his SuperPAC asking for donations, airing his journey filing his paperwork with the FEC and airing part of his meeting with a FEC committee.

Flagrantly misinterpreting the message of Jesus

Stephen Colbert satirizes Bill O'Reilly's column on Jesus for its "factual inaccuracies" saying that it would be inconvenient for rich guys like them to own up to what Jesus actually required of them like when Jesus said "if someone wants your coat, give them your cloak as well" or "rich people should sell all their possessions and give the money to the poor".

Rick Santorum's Google Problem

Former Senator Rick Santorum is running for President in 2012. He has a a google problem. In that when you google Rick Santorum the first website to come up is a site dedicated to bashing Rick Santorum pops up first. The site has also managed to coin a sexual neologism "Santorum" as something so disgusting that I'm not mentioning it here. The site was started by gay sex columnist Dan Savage because Rick Santorum equated gay sex to man on dog sex. Stephen Colbert makes light of the situation here.

Not Intended to be a Factual Statement

Jon Kyl blasts planned parenthood by saying that over 90% of their services are abortion, which his office then clarified as "not intended to be a factual statement".
Colbert lampoons Kyl over the idea that one should take such liberties with the truth.
It's ok to oppose planned parenthood, it's not ok to lie.

In a different segment related to the not intended to be a factual statement Colbert makes Fox and Friends look silly, which isn't hard to do, because Fox and Friends essentially stated that Walgreens and Planned Parenthood are the same.
